01/12/2017The minister of secondary education Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe made a statement indicating that the network has not only disrespected the national school manual homologation commission but has also paid allegiance to the separatist movement,Ambazonia thereby misleading the education community.
On page 56 of “Moving On” students book two, the contents of the text book was reviewed (one year before 2018 when it was expected to be reevaluated) by the national book commission that meets every three years.
The Minister said the eight pedagogic inspectors involved in the modification have been stripped of their functions.
“Moving On” students book two has been withdrawn from the school curricula, and all other books published by COSMOS Educational publishing Press Limited on the national education curricula, recalled.
The Minister of Secondary Education also says all other members of the network will face the law.
In the mean time, a Prime Ministerial text of November 24th prescribes only one text book for each subject to be used during a period of six years.
