35 staff at the Yaounde Gynaeco-Obstetric Hospital have been rewarded for hard work and good conduct throughout 2017.
The award ceremony which was part of agenda of the Hospital’s end of year feast this Friday 29th December 2017, was presided by the Director General Professor Fru Angwafor III.
The 35 laureates according to the Director General have greatly contributed in quantifying and qualify production in the hospital.
Their rewards are in terms if salary increase, backed up by attestation of good conduct and promotion.
While some staff were remunerated, others were sanctioned for bad conduct such as the misappropriation of funds according to Professor Angwafor III.
He further mentioned the hospital’s achievements this 2017 which includes over 17,000 consultations, over 2000 operations, and over 2,941 children delivered.
The end of year feast was also pontuated by thrilling presentations such as dances, musical display from a seasoned artist, a joke from a humorist, gymnasium by some Chinese women.
Health tips like the Kangaroo mother care method which experts say is the most effective way of nursing children was also given including a presentation of Chinese medication.
The ceremony finally ended with the Handing over of christmas gifts to hospitalised children.
