2018 Presidential Election: Joshua Osih announces candidature

The battle for Presidency in the 2018 election appears to be heating up with members of political parties declaring their intentions to run for the elections.

The lastest postulant is SDF’s Joshua Osih who, on Sunday 28th January 2018 announced his candidature.

He made the announcement during the littoral Regional Conference which was organised ahead of the SDF Elective Congress slated on 22nd-24th  February 2018.

Joshua Nabangi Osih, First Vice President of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), Member of Parliament for Wouri is second SDF official  to announce his candidacy after that of all-time Chairman John Fru Ndi.

Chairman Ni John Fru endorsed by SDF militants of  the North West will therefore face Joshua Osih backed by members of the Littoral region.

It is expected that other hopefuls will follow suit in the days ahead as the ball keeps rolling.

SDF, main opposition party will designate just one candidate during the upcoming elective congress in Bamenda.

The candidate will be expected to challenge the sitting CPDM Candidate during the forthcoming election.

After his announcement the Presidential hopeful of the Littoral stated that he is not a rival to his party Chair Ni John Fru Ndi but simply implementing his political ambition.

As the elective year 2018 unfolds many expect similar annoucements not only from candidates vying for the presidency but those for the Municipal and Legislative elections which are also on schedule .
