Cooperation ties between Cameoon and Italy has been reinforced following a visit paid by the Ambassador of Italy to Cameroon Marco Romiti to the Minister of Urban Development and Housing Jean Claude Mbwentchou.
The visit was a forum for recalling the achievements made in the socio-political, economic and cultural ties between both countries and also to chart the way forward.
In the field of Urban Development and Housing, both countries have registered a degree of successes.
In March 2017 Cameroon and Italy signed a partnership agreement for the construction of 10,000 low cost houses for citizens and equally to provide a warehouse for the construction equipment.
To this effects, feasibility studies already began this Wednesday 17th January 2018 in the following places that will host the 10,000 lodgings: all, the chiefdoms of Mbankomo, Zouatoupsi, Nkolsam, Okoa Marie, Hotel de Ville, in the Centre Region.
The feasibility study ends on Friday 19th January 2018.
The other great stride made in the field of housing and Urban Development is the on going construction of the Olembe Stadium by the Italian Piccini company. A construction which will be completed in December 2018.
