The Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou, this Monday 5th February 2018 has officially launched the 52nd Edition of the National Youth Day in Yingui, the Nkam Division of the Littoral Region.
The ceremony was a suitable forum to challenge youths who have benefited from Government’s support in financing their projects to establish businesses that will be beneficial not only to them but other youths around the locality.
These projects are all being carried out under the umbrella of the three year special youth plan instituted by the Government.
Under this program, over 3,800 youth projects are being financed with a budget allocation of 102 billion FCFA nationwide.
The ceremony was also marked by the award of of certificates, distribution of tractors, generators, farm tools, to promote second generation agriculture, and above all the launching of the second generation aquaculture nursery so to prevent youths from migrating to big cities in search for greener pastures.
The launching ceremony brought together youths around Yingui and those around other Sub Divisions of the Nkam Division; the Minister of Arts and Culture Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, (son of the Nkam Division) Littoral Region’s Governor Dieu Donne Ivaha Diboa, Including other officials of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and that of Arts and Culture.
The Celebration of the 52nd edition of the National Youth Day this 2018 has been placed under the theme: “Youth Multiculturalism, Peace and National Unity.”
