Second consignment of PBhev Computers arrive Cameroon
The first load of the second consignment of PBhev computers have been received at the Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport.
The Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fames Ndongo accompanied by the Minister of Communication – Government’s Spokesperson, Issa Tchiroma Bakary received the fifty thousand Paul Biya Higher Education Vision computers from the Ethiopian Cargo plane.
The plane landed at about 5:00pm local time and the Ministers had a brief chart with the pilots who had just completed a 14 hour flight from China. The members of government later proceeded to inspect the computers in the cargo area of the plane.
Communication Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary saluted the Presidential gifts that are intended to equip Cameroonian youths with tools to better meet the challenges of the future.
The Minister of Higher Education – Chancellor of Academic Orders, Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo announced the fifty thousand additional computers are expected on Sunday, 11th February 2018 making a total of one hundred thousand of the second consignment.
The presidential gifts to the youths which come at the heart of Youth day celebrations will be distributed to students of the Universities of Bamenda, Buea, Douala and Dschang. The distribution process is expected to begin of Tuesday, 13th February 2018, which is the first working day after the youth day.
