2018 MASA: Escale Bantoo offers an opportunity for artists

Escale Bantoo, a platform to promote music from Central Africa is thrilling visitors at the on-going MASA Festival.

The platform organised on the sidelines of the MASA Festival began on 11th March 2018 and will run till 15th March 2018.

Escale Bantoo is offering the public perfomances by Central African artists at the CVAC of Treichville in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire as from 10:30pm.

The platform is initiative of Scene d’Ebene.

The Director of Scene d’Ebene, Guy Marc Tony Mefe explains that the artists presenting are those who were not selected in the 2018 MASA official list.

He says the forum is an opportunity to project artist talents while entertaining visitors of the Festival.

The matron of the event, Khadja Nin contended that many Central African artists do not get enough exposure and support as their counterparts in West and South Africa, so this platform is important to get to the limelight.

Eight Cameroonian artists are taking part in the present 2018 edition of Escale Bantoo.

A total of 12 groups from Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Chad, Cameroon, Senegal and Nigeria will be performing in music at Espace Bantoo.
