33rd Women’s Day: CRTV’s goodwill caravan goes to vulnerable children

Women of the Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) have extended a hand of love to some vulnerable children.

The goodwill caravan went visiting with some blind, handicapped and orphan children in Yaounde as part of activities to commemorate the International Women’s Day.

The visit organised on Tuesday 6th March 2018 was at the Foyer Ecole des Enfants AVEUGLES Colonel Daniel de Rouffignac (FEEACDR) in Nlongkak, Yaounde.

The CRTV made an offer of a flat screen TV, cooking oil, beverages and bags of rice, amongst other gifts.

Mama Edwige the main care taker was moved by this show of love and concern.

She thanked the women and prayed the Almighty showers the donors with his blessing.

The children of the centre who also sensed the coming of these goodwill Ambassadors expressed excitment and gave reason for the donors to come again.

The Vice President of the organising committee for the event, Margaret Fombe explained that women of the corporation are making such an outing for the first time.

She hoped this example will be emulated with such life-changing expedition at the next opportunity.

By the time the women left Foyer Ecole des Enfants AVEUGLES Colonel Daniel de Rouffignac (FEEACDR) in Nlongkak, they learnt more about the daily challenges faced by the management of the Centre.

They were all full of tears but left with warm hearts after the great entartainment using local instruments (drum and balafon) from the children.
