The Prime Minister and Head of Government, Philemon Yang has visited some construction sites in Garoua ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.He assessed the level and quality of works going on at the sites that will host the 2019 Football tournament.
The Prime Minister made a tour of the following structures
# The Garoua Gynecological – Obstetric and Pedestric hospital
# the Garoua regional hospital
# sport sites
The tour was followed by a working session with the local organizing committee including the governor of the North region, Jean Abate Edie.
Prime Minister Philemon Yang was told that all works will be completed before the deadline.
This tour comes after that of Monday, 5th March 2018 on the construction site at Olembe, Yaoundé.
After making a tour of all the sites, the Prime Minister was equally reassured that construction works will be over by 26th December 2018.However, works at the hotel and commercial Centre will be concluded by the end of January 2019.
The next stop was the Mont Febe hotel where rehabilitation works have been scheduled to begin in the days ahead.
