State House: President Paul Biya receives Chinese Ambassador in audience

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya has granted audience to the Chinese Ambassador to Cameroon H.E. Wei Wen Hua this Tuesday 13th March 2018.

The Chinese diplomat was bearer of an invitation to Cameroon’s Chief Executive to pay a State visit to the People’s Republic of China.

Speaking to the press after the audience at State House, Ambassador Wei Wen Hua announced that President Xi Jinping and his Cameroonian counterpart will have their first top-level meeting in the third quarter of March 2018.

He added the meeting will hold after the first session of China’s 13th National People’s Congress. Ambassador Wei Wen Hua emphasised that it will be an honour to President Paul BIYA – who will be the first foreign dignitary to be received by the new leadership in China.

The audience was also an occasion to review excellent bilateral ties between Cameroon and China.

The Chinese diplomat also indicated that the visit of President Paul Biya to China will serve as an opportunity to reinforce the longstanding and fruitful cooperation ties that exist between both countries.
