National Anti-Corruption Committee: Top executives meet to assess performance
Top executives of the National Anti- Corruption Committee, CONAC held an evaluation meeting in Yaounde on 18th April 2018.
The CONAC executives from the ten regions evaluated the anti- corruption action plan nationwide.
On the agenda for discussion was equally performance of CONAC within ministries and other state institutions .
After a region to region performance assessment, the assembly realized
that only the Adamawa region attained an implementation rate of over 50%.
This concerns two axes
# Education
# prevention
Meanwhile, the National implementation rate for incentives stands at 25% in 2016 and 24% in 2017.
The CONAC chairman Rev. Dr Dieudonné Massi Gams frowned at the perversion that has impacted good moral values in ministries and other high offices.
These ills he stated, are most often manifested through intentional interception of advancement benefits and all forms of corruption and embezzlement.
Corruption Remedial Measures
The CONAC executives also discussed ways of correcting the wrongs within these institutions.
Some of the measures included ;
# Frequent sensitization campaigns at regional level
#Informing and sensitising users within public institutions
# Obliging all senior officials to abide by CONAC norms .
