Malaria Drugs

The proliferation of anti malaria drugs in Cameroon is becoming a public health concern.

About 90 percent of Cameroonians are at risk of malaria infection according to a study.

With about 40percent having at least one episode of malaria each year, government is doing much to contain the prevalence.

This coupled with the habit of auto-medication have promoted the sale of anti malaria drugs.

On the streets and in pharmacy, these drugs seem to be the hottest selling medication both for children and adults.

The malaria control programme in the country has taken upon itself to fight such a phenomenon.

In a special magazine this evening on CRTV Radio, Ebude Ekane explores the proliferation of anti malaria Drugs in the country.
