20th May: Final Motorised Military parade rehearsal

The Calvary squadron of the Presidential Guard set the pace for the motorised military parade. The men on horseback were followed by escort riders of the Presidential Guard. The Gendarmerie motorbikers were followed bicycle squadron of the police and Police escorts.

The different armoured vehicles of the Presidential Guard took turns in front of the tribune.  Transport vehicles, intervention trucks were on display.

The National Gendarmerie deployed Intervention trucks, vans, Scanner vehicles, intervention vehicles from different territorial Gendarmerie units.

The International School for Security Forces, EIFORCES also paraded its different variety of vehicles for different types of missions.  The Special Forces unveiled their all terrain vehicles that have been adapted to carry different types of weapons.

The Rapid Intervention Brigade displayed its vehicles that have been used in the Northern parts of the country. They also paraded with the transport and armoured vehicles.

The Armoured Battalion caught attention with their armoured tankers that have been efficiently used in the fight against Boko Haram terrorists in the Far North region.

The Ground to Air Battery also deployed its weaponry and armoured carriers as well as their radar systems.

Multipurpose weaponry adapted on armoured trucks was also display.

The Military Engineering corps paraded with its heavy duty equipment used in combat and construction missions.

Bulldozers, tractors, propellers and trailers used by the Military Engineering Corps in different operations were also on exhibition during the military parade.

The medical company was at the May 20th Boulevard with ambulances and a mobile surgical van.

The Rapid Intervention Battalion displayed armoured vehicles which were adapted for different geographical zones with different levels of security.

The Cameroon Navy followed with high power boats that have proven their efficiency in the fight against pirates in the Gulf of Guinea and other territorial waters.

The National Fire Brigade came with intervention bikes, ambulances, intervention trucks and other specialised vehicles used during fire incidents and other disasters.

The Police Force crowned the motorised military parade with transport and logistics vehicles, intervention trucks and anti riot tankers. Military aircrafts and combat helicopters manoeuvred during the parade by the police vehicles signalling the end of the military parade.

At the end of parade, the officers will take a day off this Saturday, 19th May 2018 in view in staging a magnificent show during the feast of National Unity on Sunday, 20th May 2018 that will be presided over by the Head of State.
