The Former Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Jean Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam has been appointed Cameroon’s ambassador to Israel.He was appointed by a Presidential decree on Thursday, 31st May 2018.
The former minister was born on 20th December 1949 in Mvoula, South Region.He is a trained journalist from the School of Journalism presently Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC.Mr Biyiti Bi Essam also studied modern letters and Arts and Audiovisual Techniques.
Between 1981-1993 Mr Jean-Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam was lecturer at the Advanced School of Mass Communication, University of Yaounde II.In 1990, he was Director of Information at the Cameroon Radio Television and was later appointed Director of studies at the Ministry of Information and Scientific Research.
From the Ministry of Research, he became technical adviser at the Ministry of Higher Education.He left to the General Secretariat at the Presidency of the Republic and subsquently became the Secretary General at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications. The new ambassador was appointed Minister of Communication and shortly after, Minister of Post and Telecommunications till 2015.
Three years out of active service, President Paul Biya appoints Jean-Pierre Biyiti Bi Essam as Ambassador to Isreal.He replaces Ernest Claude Nfonguen Ewonkem who has retired.
