Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta begins visit to Cameroon

The Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, Most Humble Guardian of the Poor of Jesus Christ, His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, is in Cameroon for an official visit.

He was welcomed upon arrival at the Yaounde, Nsimalen International airport by Cameroon’s Prime Minister-Head of Government, Philemon Yang. A host of other government dignitaries were also at the airport to welcome President Paul Biya’s guest.

The Prime Minister and the 80th Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta held brief airport discussions before taking off for the Yaounde Mont Febe Hotel.

His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, who is on his first official visit to Cameroon since he was elected by the Council Complete of State on 2nd May 2018 and sworn in to office on 3rd May 2018.

The second day of the pfficial visit of the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to Cameroon begins with a holy mass at the Apostolic Nunciature in Yaoundé.

He is expected to meet with a President of the Republic this Tuesday, 17th July 2018 at noon.

The delegations accompanying His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, are expected to take part in an audience granted them by the Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.

The four day official visit to Cameroon ends on Thursday, 19th July after a visit to the Saint John of Malta Hospital in Njombe in the Littoral region.
