Prince and Grand Master of the Order of Malta on an official visit to Cameroon

Cameroon is bracing up to welcome His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, Most Humble Guardian of the Poor of Jesus Christ.

The Special guest of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya is expected to begin a three day official visit to Cameroon on Monday, 16th July 2018.

Upon arrival at the Yaoundé Nsimalen international airport, he will be received by Prime Minister-Head of Government Philemon Yang.  A host a state dignitaries and diplomats are also expected at the airport to welcome the august guest.

According to the official programme from the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, the Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta will pay a courtesy call on the Minister of External Relations, Lejuene Mbella Mballa on Tuesday, 17th July 2018. Issues relating to Cameroon’s foreign policy and diplomatic relations are likely to feature in their discussions.

The high point of the visit will be at midday when he will be received at Cameroon’s State House, the Unity Palace by the President of the Republic, Paul Biya

After the high level audience at the presidency, His Most Eminent Highness Fra’ Giacomo dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto will be conferred the Honoris causa at the Amphitheatre 700 of the University of Yaounde 1 by a college of university professors.

The visit will proceed on Wednesday, 18th July 2018 to the East region where he will have a guided tour of the Gado Bedzere Refugee camp.

He is also expected to make a stopover at the Saint John’s hospital of Malt in Njombe in the Littoral region of Thursday 19th July 2018 before his eventual takeoff from Cameroon.
