The Minister of Secondary Education, Dr Nalova Lyonga has called on students all over Cameroon to put hands on deck and effectively resume classes on 3rd September 2018.
She made the call during an interview granted on Friday 24th August 2018.
The back-to-school plan targets students of the North West and South West Regions who have been unable to effectively go to school due to the socio-political situation in the area.
During the interview, the Secondary Education boss encouraged those displaced from those regions to go to the nearest school or the school nearest to where their parents are.
“Education is a universal good,” the Minister emphasised.
This encouragement was buttressed by a report from the Regional Delegate of the Far North, Hamadama Djafarou who indicated that measures have been taken to ensure the safety of students and teachers especially in the North West, South West, Far North and East Regions, all facing socio-political crisis.
