2018 Presidential Election: Serge Espoir Matomba goes to the Far North Region

Presidential Election Candidate, Serge Espoir Matomba flagbearer of the United People for Social Renovation (PURS) has paid a visit to the Far North Region of Cameroon.

The Presidential hopeful who arrived the Far North Regional Capital, Maroua on 11th August 2018 made a first stopover at the banks of Mayo Kaliao.

At the Mayo Kaliao banks, an area prone to erosion, Serge Espoir Matomba promised to establish an autonomous civil protection structure for disaster prevention and management after he is sworn-in.

The Presidential candidate later met motorbike riders, students and women at his party’s headquarters in Maroua.

He assured motorbike riders that his party is out for equal chances of success to all Cameroonians.

To the unemployed, Serge Espoir Matomba discussed his party’s intention to create five million jobs in five years after certifications and training in various fields.

During the encounter, the candidate also exhorted the youth to develop interest in the management of public affairs.

The Presidential hopeful stated that “Youthfulness shouldn’t be a handicap but an asset.”

Serge Espoir Matomba believes that creating a women’s wing of the party is expressing gender disparity. He says women must contribute the same way as men and young people to Cameroon’s development.

This visit to the Far North Region which took Serge Espoir Matomba to Mayo Danay and Kaele this 14th August 2018 is part of the party’s activities in the build-up to the official campaign.
