2019 AFCON: Third CAF inspection team in Cameroon
A third CAF inspection team is in Cameroon for a 9-day working visit
The mission is expected to evaluate the progress of work done in view of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
For the first time, the delegation will do a general assesement of all specifications given to Cameroon, host of the Africa Cup of Nations.
In view of this third visit, MINSEP boss faced the press on Saturday 4th August 2018 at the Ahmadou Ahidjo to give other details.
The Minister stated that, unlike the two previous inspection missions that focused on facilities, the present visit will make a general overview of Cameroon’s readiness.
Accordindly, all aspects related organisation of the 2019 AFCON shall be examined.
The mission will be composed of two distinct teams; experts to evaluate quality and CAF officials in charged of organisation.
The mission arrives the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport this Monday 6th August 2018 to be received by Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Mpkatt.
An in-camera meeting involving officials of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has been scheduled .
