The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon now ranks 6th club in Africa and 47th in the world according to the latest FIFA classification released 16th August 2018.
Cameroon moves up by two positions from 49th of July 2018 to 47th in August.
Many attribute this improvement to the victory of the Lions in the 2017 AFCON in Gabon and many more.
Tunisia, one of the five African ambassadors of the World Cup in Russia is the best-ranked team in Africa.
Another ambassador to Russia, Senegal is second at the continental level and 24th, same as Tunisia but with a difference in points.
Still at the level of the continent, DR Congo is third while Ghana and Morocco complete the continent’s Top 5.
Ghana moved from 47th to 45th position on the global ranking.
The current world champion, France has evidently, been ranked Number One.
The teamed jumped from 6th position to replace former world number one, Germany that is presently ranked 15th.
The 2018 World Cup runner-up Croatia, after its wonderful performance in the competition speeds up to 4th from its former 16th position.
Other catchy improvement comes from the world cup host country Russia.
The Russian team gains 21 places after impressing the world during the FIFA world cup.
She is presently 49th best with a football team built within a period of just one year.
