Former Cameroon international footballer, Alexandre Dimitri Song Billong has joined the Swiss club, FC Sion and his former team mate, Stephane Mbia has returned to FC Toulouse – France.
Alaxandre Song moves from Rubin Kazan in Rusdia to FC Sion on a two year contract to end in 2020.
Former Captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Stephane Mbia on his part, is not new to french football
Stephane Mbia took to the social media to express the joy of engaging in French Ligue 1.
“Very happy to announce my signature in the coming days at Toulouse FC. It’s with great joy that I will return to League 1,”
The announcement lays to rest persistent speculations of his possible transfer to Premier League side, Burnley.
Stephane Mbia was a free agent after his contract expired with Chinese Super League team, Hebei China Fortune Football Club in March 2018.
He has registered 67 appearances and five goals for Cameroon since his debut in 2005.
He has also played in Marseille, Sevilla, Rennes, Queens Park Rangers, Trabzonspor and now Toulouse
Former FC Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder, A. Song joins FC Sion on a free transfer after his contract expired in January 2018.
He trained with his new club for a while before the deal was announced on Tuesday 14th August 2018
Alex Song has 49 caps for Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions between 2005 and 2014.
He has played in Arsenal, Bastia FC, West Ham United, Charlton Athletics, FC Barcelona, Rubin Kazan and FC Sion.
