Football: Seedorf drops former captain Moukandjo, Bassogog and Njie.

The Head Coach of the Indomitable Lions, Clarence Seerdorf and deputy Patrick Kluivert have dropped Benjamin Moukandjo,Christain Bassogog and Clinton Njie in their first selection.

Newcomers, Ntep Paul Georges(Wolfsburg in England), Adrien Tameze (OGC Nice in France), and Jerome Onguene(Red Bull,Salzbourg), are making their debut with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The three players have both French and Cameroonian nationality.

Ntep Paul Georges, who plays for Wolfsburg in England, has featured in two friendly games for France.

Adrien Tameze(OGC Nice) and Onguene Jerome(Red Bull Salzbourg) have played for  the World Cup champions only at the junior levels.

After the publication of the list, media men and women were anxious to know why the best player of the 2017 AFCON, Christian Bassogog, and many others were conspicuously absent on the squad.

The new technical duo explained that Bassogog and Moukandjo, who play in the Chinese Super League, could not join because of distance.

To them, it will  be strenuous for Bassogog and Moukandjo to fly the skies for 12 hours just for a test game.

They further said, the two players are in very busy time of the season as the Chinese Super League is at the mid term of the games.

The Dutch men indicated that  they intend to give pride of place to players in top leagues.

Coach Seedorf and Kluivert insisted that the doors are still open for any player willing to come back.

On the contrary, many think these players in China are out for money and not football.

Other have saluted the choice of the 23-man squad, highlighting the youthfulness and diversity in the  in the team

Just to note that Nicolas Nkoulou is due to stage his  comeback in the nearest possible time after discussions with the new technical team. Nicolas Nkoulou had previously retired from international football.

The 23 Lions have been selected ahead of the international friendly against the Comoros Island on the 8th of September 2018.
