2018 Presidential Election: Matomba moves to East Cameroon

After five days of intensive campaign in the Littoral, West and Centre Regions, the PURS Presidential Candidate, Serge Espoir Matomba has moved to the East Region to convey his message.

The Matomba team took off for the East Region in the early hours of this Thursday 27th September 2018.

The first stop was in Abong Mbang then Doumé where the people came out in great numbers to support the young exuberant candidate.

Older people in the community were also present to bless the candidate whom they refer to as a son who aspires to go to Unity Palace, come 7th October 2018.

From Doumé, the PURS team pitched its tent in Dimako, another strategic town in the East Region.

Here, the rally which was innitially timid eventually gathered steam.

At the market, the candidate greeted vendors and passersby while motorbike riders hooted to announce the coming of an august guest.

He also made a brief stop at the ELECAM Office in the town.

The Ceremonial Ground in Bertoua was next stop after Dimako.

Once again motorbike riders dressed in party t-shirts steamed-up the ceremonial ground.

Other fans assisted in the  distribution of flyers in a bid to win over new supporters.

Giant speakers were also set up with the popular Matomba song by One Love, resonating.

A meeting was previewed to follow but after over two hours of waiting,
it finally did not hold to the visible disappointment of some supporters who had defiled the strong winds announcing a downpour, to attend the meeting.

The candidate however returned to the Ceremonial Ground and granted an interview to some media organs before taking off and then heavy rain followed as if to wipe away the disappointment of the evening.
