2018 Presidential Election: ADD campaigns in Maga and Bogo that border Chad

The Alliance for  Democracy and Development, the ADD was in Bogo and Maga, two localities that border the Republic of Chad.

The very welcoming inhabitants appreciated the fact that Mr Garga could brave the odds to meet them.

His first stop was in Maga, an area reputed for rice cultivation and fish farming from the Lake  chad waters.

The Presidential Candidate pointed to the frequent floods that slow down economic activities through the wanton destruction of the rice fields as the inhabitants flee parts of Maga

Garga Haman Adji promised to seek the expertise of irrigation experts if voted into office.

He said the high rice production in Maga needs to be industrialised if only to create jobs indirectly.

The last lap of his tour in the Far North region was in Bogo, seven kilo meters from Chad.

The Presidential hopeful addressed the population of Bogo promising to improve on the living standards of the people.

He said the problem of insecurity ascentuated by the porous nature of the borders is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Mr Garga promised to tighten security at the borders if elected on 7th October 2018.

Apart from those specific concerns, Mr Garga Haman detailed his political offer in the socio-economic and cultural domains.

Driving through the fish town, Garga Haman Adji distributed flyers to the youths.

He is scheduled to campaign in Maroua this Friday 5th October 2018.
