2018 Presidential Election: ADD candidate gets assurance of unflinching support in Yagoua

Yagoua, headquaters of the Mayo-Danay Division has been honoured with the presence of one of its famous sons, the Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy and Development, candidate for the party in the 7th October presidential election .

Mr Haman Garga Adji was in Yagoua for campaign activities and also to meet with the people who saw him grow to be the great public service worker and politician.

The characteristic effeverscence and hooting by motor bikes riders and the loud music from the mega phones announced the arrival of the ADD candidate.

The efigy of Mr Haman Garga Adji, the party chair and the presidential candidate stood high at various spots to honour the august guest.

“Welcome home Mr President” , “Garga Haman Adji is our president” were the messages on banners and placards placed in eye catching sites.

Garga Haman Adji waved at the excited crowd, most of whom struggled to touch the car.

The excitement lasted for long as the caravan made rounds of the streets in the town of Yagoua.

At the end of the tour, the presidential candidate had a brief rally during which he once again detailed his political agenda.

But, before he took to the rustrom, the father, son and friend to many of the people gave out few dance steps which were greeted with cheers from the crowd.

To woo the hearts of his supporters, Mr Garga insisted on the pressing needs of the people.

Tarring the road leading to the town he said, was a priority.

Providing water and electricity constitute other priority actions that will be executed as soon as he is elected.

Earlier in the day, Garga Haman Adji visited the Lamido of Yagoua, His Majesty Litassou Makaina.

He also took time off to convince the elders of  the town to vote for him.

Women in the palace chanted praises to Garga Haman Adji, one of the descendants of the Modibo family in the Northern regions.

Before visiting the palace, the campaign caravan made a stop at Kaele.
