2018 Presidential Election : Akere Muna drops out, aligns with Maurice Kamto
A coalition has been formed between two lawyers on the frontline of the 7th October presidential election
Akere Muna has dropped out of the race to rally behind Maurice Kamto.
The information is contained in a press statement signed by the spokes person for Akere Muna campaign.
In the statement, the candidate of the Now Movement argues that ;
“Our personal ambitions come second. Only a union of forces of the main candidates can overcome the Biya regime”.
He calls on his supporters to rally behind the CRM Presidential hopeful to have Cameroon expirience what he considers ” a political change worthy of the proud and intelligent people that we are”.
Coming two days to election, it is expected that both men will make a public appearence, most probably in Douala where Maurice Kamto is expected.
Akere Muna and Maurice Kamto are running for Presidential Election for the first time.
