2018 Presidential Election: Cabral Libii cast his vote

The presidential candidate for the Univer party Cabral Libii fulfilled his civic duty to vote this Sunday 7th October 2018.

It was exactly 10:00AM when candidate Cabral Libii walked into the courtyard of the Government Primary School Efoulan for the voting exercise.

Cabral Libii was directed to his polling station where he personally verified his information on the voters’ list before making his way in.

His voter’s card was confirmed by election officials who then handed him nine different ballot papers to make his choice.

Within a few minutes, the deal was done. Media men all clustered to take shots of the presidential hopeful slotting in his envelope into the ballot box.

After completing the voting procedures, the candidate walked out to a battery of national and international media men and women waiting to get his first reactions from the process.

Cabral Libii addressing the media after vote

Mr Libii expressed pride to have voted for change and believes that all other Cameroonians will make the same choice as him.

Cabral Libii however expressed worries about his party representatives not being allowed to observe the voting process in their polling station despite fulfilling all of ELECAM’s recommendations.

Despite that, he lauded the calm and serenity in which the voting process unfolded at the polling stations in Government Primary School Efoulan.

After the series of interviews granted, Cabral Libii accompanied his wife Murielle Peggy Libii to a Mendong polling station where she cast her vote.

Cabral Libii and other top party officials retired to the Univers party headquarters in Nkoldongo, Yaounde after they had all voted.

They waited to receive reports on the day’s voting operations from party representatives at polling stations when the vote count began.
