2018 Presidential Election: Cabral Libii discusses religious tolerance in Foumban

The Noun division is one of the few localities with a predominantly Muslim population.

On his Foumban lap of the ongoing campaign for the 7th October presidential election, the candidate for the Univers party evoked the need for Cameroonians to uphold religious tolerance amongst other campaign messages.

The meeting which took place on Sunday 30th September 2018 was another opportunity for Cabral Libii to re-echo his stance following what he described as misinformation on the social media.

He said contrary to baseless affirmations that he is against the Muslims early morning prayers, Mr Libii stated unequivocally that Cameroonians are first of all one, before practising different religions.

Mr Libii, after laying to rest the controversy, introduced members of his campaign team to the huge population that turned out for the rally.

He proudly said the members are from the four cultural zones of Cameroon as if to state that he preaches by example.

The population of Foumban pledged their unflinching support for the Univers party presidential candidate.

They promised they will not let detractors stop them from casting their ballots for him come 7th October 2018.
