2018 Presidential Election: Garga Haman Adji votes in his Makabaye native village

The Flag bearer of the ADD, Garga Haman Adji has voted at Government School Makabaye in Maroua not far from his house.

At few minutes past 10 a.m Mr Garga Haman Adji stepped out from his house in Makabaye dressed in a blue Agbada.

The ADD presidential hopeful moved majestical to his Avalon black toyota car.

Every scene was captured by the local press while his neighbours and passers-by applauded as he entered his car.

In less than ten minutes, his convoy arrived the village school situated some 2 kilo meters from his imposing home

His arrival at the polling station was marked by a heavy local media attraction and standing ovation from the curious crowds

Garga Haman Adji in his finesse moved to the voting hall and underwent the normal checks before casting his vote in the eyes of hundreds of people.

He saluted the staff and cautioned them to be proactive, transparent as the oversee the voting process.

Reacting to the media after this, Mr Garga said he was proud to vote in his homeland an act many of his contestants have not fulfilled.

Responding to a question on his message to all voters, the man vying the state house at Etoudi said he will continue to preach peace and harmony in Cameroon.

He said Cameroonians should choose their president wisely for a better Cameroon of tomorrow.

In his native fulfude language, the former Minister called some jokes which led the local populations clapping and laughing.

In less than ten minutes, Mr Garga was on his way home to Makabaye.

Just to recall that he is contesting the coveted seat at Etoudi for three times now, 1997, 2011 and 2018.

He is the only presidential candidate from the Northern regions of the country.

Back at the polling station, 423 registered voters are expected to cast their votes at the GS Makabaye polling station.

Makabaye has a total of five voting centres with 2700 voters.
