2019 AFCON Qualifiers: Cameroon – Malawi; updates from the Lions’ den
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon are in Blanlyre, Malawi ahead of a second round 2019 AFCON qualifier match.
The return match to be fielded this Tuesday 16th October 2018 in Malawi comes three days after the away game in Yaounde, Cameroon.
The team is expected to hold its first training session at the Kamuzu stadium, Blanlyre this Monday 15th October 2018.
The program laid out for the team is as follows;
– Clarence Seedorf’ s boys rehearse field technics including ball keeping, passes and offensive players’ shots to the goalpost.
The session ends with an ice-bath recommended by the coaching team.
-At past noon, the Indomitable Lions undergo muscle stimulation sessions in the gardens of Protea Hotel, where the players are presently lodged.
There are indications that Christian Bassogog, Eric Maxime Choupo-Moting (injured on the lap) and Gaetan Bong ( injured on the knee) will not be fielded.
According to the Indomitable Lions’ physician Professor William Ngachou, medical results affirm that they they are all injured and can not be 100% performant this Tuesday.
He emphasised that the three require enough care and rest.
Coach Clarence Seedorf and the technical bench of the Indomitable Lions agree to safeguard the players for future matches .
