Cameroon has intensified strategies to enhance road safety strategies as the country celebrates the Day for the remembrance of crash victims and the African Road Safety Day.
The World Day for the Remembrance of Crash Victims¨ couple with the ¨African Road Safety Day,¨ was celebrated on 18th November 2018 on the theme ¨Roads Have Stories¨.
The Minister of Transport, Ngalle Bibehe Jean Ernest Massena indicated in a press release that several activities were carried out on the days preceding the celebration,in collaboration with the concerned administrations.
The events were intended to reminds all road users of the crucial duty, to respect the Highway Code.
He also indicated that road safety teams of the Ministry of Transport went to the different roads, schools and transport companies, to reiterate important road safety measures.
The Minister of Transport said he “counts on the civic duty and high sense of responsibility of everyone, to sustainable curb road accidents in Cameroon.”
