State House: President Paul Biya receives Saudi delegation

Cameroon’s Chief Executive, Paul Biya has received in audience a delegation from the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Vice Minister of Defence.

Cameroon’s Chief Executive, Paul Biya has received in audience a delegation from the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Vice Minister of Defence.

President Paul Biya’s lead guest, Mohammed Bin Abdullad Al-Ayeesh is a Special envoy of the Saudi Arabian monarch.

During discussions, the officials agreed to foster bilateral relations especially defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

The audience is the first President Paul Biya is granting to a foreign delegation since he was sworn-in on 6th November 2018.

The head of the Saudi  delegation congratulated President Paul Biya on his brilliant re-election and assured him of his country’s commitment to foster mutually beneficial ties with Cameroon.

Prior to the audience at the Unity Palace, the Vice Minister of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia, Mohammed  Al-Ayeesh was received in audience by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo.
Both Ministers discussed aspects of defence cooperation.

Bilateral relations between the two countries are multifaceted and multidimensional they agreed.

Diplomacy,  economy, religion, industrial, health, education, technology, infrastructure and now defence cooperation are some of the areas where Cameroon and Saudi Arabia have been partnering.

True to the African hospitality, the Delegate at  the Presidency incharge of Defence offered gifts to each member of the Saudi delegation.
