Election in FECAFOOT: Actors voice expectations

Seidou Mbombo Njoya and a sixteen man team will manage football affairs in the next four years after elections Wednesday 12th December 2018.

The FECAFOOT family and Cameroonians in general are presently anxious to see the new team face-off with the prolonged crisis at the federation.
According to Geoff Ngwa, a football consultant, corruption is the root cause of the problems that have permanently hindered the smooth functioning of the federation in the past four years.
He says, the new faces need to be steadfast and transparent in management of football affairs.

Francis Ajumane a Sports Journalist with Journalducameroun proposes that the new executive should first and foremost unite all the different factions of Cameroonian football.

He adds that the Professional Football League (LFPC) has been at its worse recently. His proposal is that the new team professionalize the leagues and invest in grass root football.

Franck Happi, one of the contenders of Wednesday’s election expects the Seidou Mbombo Njoya-led team to bring back sanity into Cameroon football. He wishes the management team will bring back the good days of football in Cameroon .

South West FECAFOOT delegate, Umfenyuy Kongso Chrysan says the president needs to clean the house and set records clear for the growth of football.

His colleague, Calvin Foinding emphasized that Cameroon has lost its credibility on the international scene due to double standards in the federation.

He therefore thinks discipline and professionalism should be upheld.

According to Cameroonian on the street, the executive have to get to work as soon as possible and make Cameroonian football great again
