The President of the Republic Paul Biya has received in audience the Director General of the African branch of the American firm General Electric, Farid Fezoua.
During the about 30minutes audience, the President of the Republic and his guest discussed on a wide range of areas that the firm has shown interest to invest in including health, infrastructure and sustainable development.
At the end of the audience, the Director General of General Electric Africa told CRTV that his company is investing in the energy, technology and infrastructure sectors. He said, “G.E is not a new comer in Cameroon.
We have sites that have been from technology and services developed by G.E Cameroon. We are looking to expand.” Similarly you may know of projects we have started implementing over the last few years on rail, transportation and particularly with the supply and servicing of locomotives.
Farid Fezoua also discussed with the Head of State on the possibility of carrying out long term investments in the county.
He told the press that, there are Plans for long term cooperation in the areas of rehabilitation and modernization of the primary care system in Cameroon specifically the rehabilitation of the Integrated Health Centres as well as district hospitals.
The Director General of General Electric Africa was accompanied to the audience by the American Ambassador to Cameroon.
At the end of the audience, President Paul Biya handed over a gift symbolic of Cameroon’s legendary hospitality to the country’s development partner.
