State House: Ambassadors of Brazilian and Senegalese Present Letters of Credence

Cameroon’s diplomatic landscape has been enriched with two new heads of diplomatic missions.

The news Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Her Excellency Vivian Loss Sanmartin and Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal H.E. Khare Diouf both presented their letters of credence to the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul Biya during two separate audiences at the Unity Palace this Thursday, 13 December 2018.

The solemn ceremony at the diplomatic began with the presentation of the letters of accreditation of the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil – Her Excellency Vivian Loss Sanmartin.

The new Ambassador, Vivian Loss Sanmartin is a seasoned diplomat who had served in Russia, the European Union, Paraguay, Argentina and Austria. She is also holder of a PhD in Diplomacy.

Cameroon’s chief executive also received the letters of credence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal, H.E. Khare Diouf.

Prior to Cameroon, Ambassador Khare had served as head of his country’s diplomatic mission in Guinea Bissau, Portugal, Japan, Gambia and Belgium.

The expert in philosophy and diplomacy studied at the Cheikh Anta Diop University and the National School of Administration in Senegal.

President Paul Biya held separate in-camera discussions with the Head of State after the presentation of their letters of credence.

During both audiences, some of the Head of State’s close collaborators were presented to the Ambassadors, including: the Minister of External Relations – Lejeune Mbella Mbella; the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic – Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh; the Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet – Samuel Mvondo Ayolo; the Commander of the President’s Special Command – General Emmanuel Amougou; and the Commander of the Presidential Guard – Lieutenant Colonel Raymond Charles Beko’o Abondo.

Both diplomats also presented their team to the President of Republic. Each of the heads of diplomatic missions received military honours at the esplanade of the Unity Palace from a special detachment of the presidential guard.
