EMIA: A military academy at the service of the sub-region
The Combined Services Military Academy is one of the few institutions in Africa with an undeniable high quality of training.
As one of the first in Africa, the academy was not created to train just Cameroonian but aspirants from other countries in the continent.
A number of military men, especially from friendly countries received training at EMIA.
In terms of ratio, graduates from EMIA 95% are Cameroonians while 5% are cadet officers from a number of African countries.
Amongst the big names, graduates of EMIA are the late Thomas Isidore Noel Sankara and Blaise Compaoré, two former Presidents of Burkina Faso.
Other graduates from the Combined Services Military Academy, EMIA in Yaounde, Cameroon now serve in top military positions within their various army.
