Elections Cameroon makes an introspection of 2018 elections
The elections governing body, Elections Cameroon, has presented its report on the 2018 presidential election.
The report was presented during a session on Tuesday, 12th February 2019 in Yaounde.
The management board set out to evaluate Election Cameroon’s performance before, during and after the exercise.
The Chairman of the Electoral Board of ELECAM, Enoh Abrams Egbe encouraged political actors to channel their contributions to enhance the process of organising credible and peaceful elections.
Enow Abrams Egbe declared that ELECAM will continue to work for a convincing, transparent and peaceful election.
To him, all actors including development partners need to be integrated in the election management process.
He promised to table some of the recommendations that are out of ELECAM’s reach, to government.
On the occasion the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Systems in Cameroon undertook to continue to stand by ELECAM.
The session was a follow- up to one held on Douala between 26-30 November 2019.
