Youth Day: Grand Gala for Greater opportunities
Youths from different parts of Cameroon have celebrated unity in diversity in music and style.
This was during the Grand Opportunities Gala for Youth organised at the National Museum of Yaoundé.
The convivial atmosphere at the Museum marked the end of the Youth Village that organized during the 11 days of activities prior to the Youth Day.
The gala was also occasion to promote youth excellence through the award of innovation prizes to valorize talents and the genius of young Cameroonians who distinguished themselves in various fields during the year 2018.
During the event Cameroonian artist Ben Martins thrill the public with his hit song “Yayato: Together Let’s Celebrate Cameroonian Youth”.
The Special Gala of Great Opportunities for Youth was chaired by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou.
The event also sort to bring together all actors involved in youth development to celebrate in one place.
Youth from IFTiC-Sup received the prize in the category of university, extra-curricular and school fans.
Four young people were awarded rewards in the category of creativity, precisely in cuisine, Agro Food, Classic Crafts and Service. They each received an envelope of 75 000 Fcfa and an attestation from the hands of Minister Mounouna Foutsou.
Different agencies and associations working with youths exhibited their projects and products during the event which was live on CRTV.
