North region: Governor calms rioting students over mystic happenings
The Governor of the North region Jean Abate Edii has met with furious students of GBHS Ngalbige in the Garoua 2 subdivision following the disruption of classes after many students went into a trance.
The students attributed what they considered recurrent happenings to their principal.
They took to the streets to riot as the Governor exhorted the enraged students to stay out of falsehoods.

Some students of the GBHS Ngalbige arrived school on Wednesday 20th March 2019.
Hours later, there were shouts from students that appear to be in a trance.
The new principal was finger pointed and accused as being responsible for the incident considered recurrent since the 2018/2019 academic year.
The furious students barricaded roads leading to the school and marched to the principal’s residence.
Governor Jean Abate Edii calmed the situation and promised to open investigations.
