Women’s Day 2019: MINPOSTEL promotes female digital entrepreneurs
The Minister of Post and Telecommunications Minette Libom Li Likeng was in some neighbourhoods of Yaounde on Thursday 7th March 2019 to meet young digital entrepreneurs.
The female entrepreneurs are amongst those with start-ups conceived to bring solutions to everyday problems.
Among the projects with innovative solutions was a mobile application that helps connect blood seekers to donors or a blood bank.
The Minister was impressed with the digital project stating women deserve more opportunities.
The Telecommunications boss pledged government’s support to such initiatives especially coming from young female digital entrepreneurs.
Minister Minette Libom Li Likeng ended her day at the Yaounde National Advanced School of Post and Telecommunications where she met female students.
She encouraged the “Women in Tech” initiative and urged them to believe in themselves.
The “Women in Tech” initiative is aimed at promoting young women in technology.
Madame Libom also visited some exhibition stands where female students exhibited other innovative works in the domain of digital technology.
