Two presidential decrees of 29 March 2019 appoint Nguini Alfred and Koloko Marie Yvette epse Assene Nkou, Ambassadors of Cameroon to France and Côte d’Ivoire respectively
Cameroon’s Embassy in France
Alfred Nguini who goes to France leaves Côte d’Ivoire where he served as ambassador.
He is taking over from Samuel Mvondo Ayollo brought in as Director of Civil Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic in March 2018.
The appointment of Alfred Nguini puts an end to a one year vacancy at the Embassy.
Alfred Nguini will therefore be expected to reinstate serenity at the embassy recently rocked by acts of vandalism orchestrated by a group of Cameroonians.
The incident occasioned a temporal closure of the embassy.
Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire
Marie Yvette Assene Nkou was also appointed to Côte d’Ivoire as head of diplomatic mission.
After ten years serving as Technical Adviser, Head of the Division of Diplomatic Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, she leaves for another mission.
She is therefore an experienced state servant expected to boost the brotherly and diplomatic ties between Yaounde and Abidjan.
Both diplomats will need to present their letters of credence to the Presidents of their host countries before they assume full powers as head of diplomatic missions.
