Cameroon’s Chief Executive, Paul Biya has received in audience the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Gilles Thibault.
Discussion during the audience focused on a wide rang of issues of common interest to both nations including French sponsored projects carried out in Cameroon and the security situation in the Far North, the East, North West and South West regions of the country.
During the close to three hour audience, the Long standing, excellent and mutually beneficial bilateral relations between Yaoundé and Paris came under review.
He told pressmen that some 110 billion CFA has been invested for the Urban development of the Douala thanks to French – Cameroon economic cooperation. The investment was used in constructing drainage canals in Douala.
The ambassador announced that other Cameroonian towns will benefit from similar investments. He cited Bertoua, Garoua and Bamenda are the next beneficiaries.
