South Africa: Political parties prepare for general elections
Political Parties in South Africa are bracing up for the General Elections (Parliamentary and Legistlative) to take place Wednesday 8th May 2019.
In all, 48 parties are participating but the three top contestants are; African National Congress (ANC), the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
These parties have been on the field mobilising their supporters with few days left.
In a campaign rally organised on Saturday 4th May in Soweto, the DA Candidate, Mmusi Maimane told supporters that his party will create the alliances necessary for change, accusing the ANC of corruption.
Julius Malema of the EFF was also in Soweto on Sunday 5th May 2019. During a rally organised in the Orlando Stadium, the candidate shared his manifesto.
In the meantime, the leading ANC party is waving off repeated accusations of corruption.
The party brandishes its experience as reason to make South Africa continue to blossom.
