2019 AFCON: Cameroon on a showdown with Guinea-Bissau; the chances
The defending champions of African football, Cameroon is heading into the opening match with Guinea-Bissau this Tuesday 25th June 2019 at the Ismailia Stadium.
The match to be played at 7:00 p.m Egyptian time, (6:00pm Cameroon time) is the first group F game.
The last time Cameroon won back to back African Cup of Nations was way back in 2002.
A replay of the 2002 exploit shall not be easy especially in a tournament having teams like Egypt, Senegal, Morocco, Ghana and many others .
Baciro Cande’s side are without a win in any of their last three matches. The team most recently concluded international friendly against Angola ended in a disappointing 2-0 loss.
After their clash this Tuesday June 25, the Djurtus will face the Squirrels of Benin, while their opponents will be squaring up against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Clarence Seedorf’s team is working to pass the group stage with maximum points and be the table toppers.
