A violent head-on collision between a passenger bus and a truck has left 21 persons dead and 16 injured.
The accident which took place on Sunday 23rd June 2019 involved an inter- urban transport bus, “Sincerite” that was heading to Douala and a truck on high speed.
The corpses were pulled out of the wreckage of the inter – urban transport bus carrying 37 passengers .
The victims involved the two drivers while several others were injured.
Informed of the incident, Governor Fonka Awa Augustine drove to the scene along Batie hills, near Baham in the upper plateau division of the West region.
He supervised the recovery efforts and once again cautioned against reckless driving.
Traffic along the stretch was interrupted for several hours.
