The inter Ministerial mission to the National Refining Company, SONARA has ended its evaluation.
The mission was initiated to:
# Find the exact cause of the accident
# Assess extend of the damage
# Assess estimated time and cost of repairs
# Provide assistance to the population affected by the fire
# Seek ways of stabilising the prices of petroleum products inspite of the accident
#Secure the site.
Led by the Minister of Water and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba on the behest of the Prime Minister – Head of government, the delegation transmitted the Head of State’s encouragement to the staff of refinery.
He said no job will be lost at the National Refinery company, as SONARA continues in the rehabilitation process.
In the meantime, the auditing process is ongoing and will continue while management ensures the continous supply of petroleum products.
The delegation to Limbe was made up of four Ministers;
#Water Resources and Energy
# Mines, Industry and Technological Development.
#The Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence incharge of the Gendarmerie
#The Secretary General at the General Delegation of National Security amongst others.
