The newly contracted sportswear manufacturing company Le Coq Sportif has presented its new kit to be used by the Indomitable Lions during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The new jerseys were presented to the public this Wednesday 19th June 2019 at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel.
Among the package, specially designed for the Men’s National team, are jerseys in different national colours, tracksuits, caps and socks.
Le Coq Sportif also has the mandate to produce jerseys for all Cameroon’s national teams.
The French company gets the contract from the German competitor Puma.
It is the second time Le Coq Sportif gets the contract to produce jerseys for the national team, the first time being in the 80s during the Roger Milla era.
FECAFOOT President Seidou Mbombo Njoya stated that the national team has had great success partnering with Le Coq Sportif in the past.
He recalled that the last time the Lions used the company’s jerseys to Egypt they were defending champions.
During the expedition, the Lions came back as vice champions after losing to Egypt during a penalty shootout.
Le Coq Sportif has a century of success in the manufacturing business.
The new kit will soon be available to the public in Citysport shops around the country.
