The June session of parliament opens this Monday at the National Assembly and at the Senate.
The session comes after a the March session during which eight bills were examined and adopted.
Unlike the March and November sessions with specific agenda, ( March; elections of new bureau in both chambers. November; examination of the state budget), the June session is open.
It is however expected that Members of parliament will examine bills tabled by government.
The opening of the June session was announced in two seperats press releases from the upper and lower houses.
The National Assembly is expected to begin deliberations at the hemicycle in Ngoa Nkelle at 10:00am under the chairmanship of Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril while Senators will meet in another plenary at the Yaounde conference centre at 4:00 PM in a session to be chaired by the President Marcel Niat Njifenji
As it is the tradition, members of the executive and judicial arms of government will witness the day’s proceedings.
