2019 AFCON: Head Coach discuss Cameroon’s last group F match in a pre-match conference

Clarence Seedorf  Head Coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon says the immediate challenge is to win the game against the Squirrels of Benin.

 

“We want to win and stay at the top of the group” the Dutch football tactician made the statement during a CAF pre-match press conference ahead of Cameroon’s final group game against Benin Tuesday 2nd July 2019.

Inspite of the zero-all draw with the Black Stars of Ghana on the day-2 the coach remained upbeat.

He says the team have trained to improve on strikers ability to create many goal scoring opportunities against Benin.

Reacting to doubts on his choice of players, the coach said he has faith in his players and thinks any player can feature in any game.

Commenting on the game against Ghana, the coach said Cameroon made the game very difficult for the Ghanaians
The Coach faced the press alongside, Midfielder Stephane Bahoken who indicated that his priority is to see his team win and lead the group.


The Coach of the Benin national team, Michel Dussuyer and Midfielder, Steve Mounie also faced the press. He indicated that Cameroon is just amongst the strong teams, some of which the squirrels have earlier faced.

 

Cameroon is presently heading Group F with four points, Ghana and Benin while Guinea-Bissau is at the bottom with just one point.
