CRTV: War College Trainees visit production Centre

Officers on Training at the International War College at Simbock in Yaounde have paid a visit to the CRTV production Centre at Mballa II in Yaounde.

The delegation of about 60 officers from 24 African countries, France and the United States of America used the occasion to match theory with practice.

Upon arrival they were received by the Deputy Director General of the CRTV, Emmanuel Wongibe. After the reception by top management, the visiting officers had a working session in the Central Television Newsroom where that spoke with some journalists on the processes of information gathering, processing and broadcast.

The visit to the CRTV is part of the media studies carried out by officers at the Advanced School of Mass Communication, ASMAC.

They also had a guided tour of some studies and production centres under the supervision of the Central Director, Pole TV, Ibrahim Cherif and senior officials of the CRTV.

They also visited the studio of the newly created CRTV News and CRTV Sports. The officers had the opportunity of chatting with technicians and engineers of the sound recording systems, of the digital and central broadcast units.

The visit was also occasion for the officers who upon graduation will occupy decision taking positions in the armies of the respective countries to better understand the functioning of a public broadcaster and how they can relate with the media in times of peace and during crisis.
